Breakfast at Blue Heaven

by in Food

My Marketing Manager, Catherine, found out we were headed to Key West and gave us a must visit list. Blue Heaven was top of her list. She said it was casual but food was amazing. She was absolutely correct. So the first morning we were there, we stopped for breakfast after a tour of Ernest Hemingway’s Home. There was a wait so we relaxed with a Bloody Mary in the stage/open area.  It had an excellent mix is spices and was a great start to the morning. It was a beautiful day and just relaxing after our tour

Of course there were roosters running around.   It’s something I haven’t seen before and very cool.

Once we sat down, it was time to relax and eat.  Of courses I chose the Blue Heaven BLT Lobster Eggs Benedict which is one of the few times I ordered something at Market Price without asking for the cost.  Add in another breakfast cocktail and life is delicious.  The Benedict had bacon which really topped it off with good flavor and texture.  No doubt, we were stuffed.  My wife had their ham and cheese omelet and our friend the Lobster Benedict without the bacon.

As Catherine stated, this is really on the Must List to visit.  Parking is very limited so best to walk over and enjoy breakfast!  I’ve wanted to come back for another meal, but at this point it will be on my next trip down!
